According to the stance of Yemen times, it’s considered a method that focuses on developing procedures related to the teaching of four skills. These skills acknowledge mutuality of communication and language. It stresses at students becoming communicatively competent. Now, according to glossaries, communication language teaching is taken as bunch of principles regarding teaching that includes recommendations about syllabus and method where focus lies on not the structure but the meaningful communication. In the given statement, students are provided with various tasks to achieve using mostly language and the learning the language. History of the Inquisitive Method CLT was explored when changes in British Language traditions of teaching which started from late 1960s. When any type of language wasn’t introduced, situational language depicted the foremost British set about to teach English as foreign language. Situational language was basically the practice of basic structure based on exciting situation dependent activities. British came up with linguists that aim on language fundamentally addressing to language teaching approaches- the communicative and functional capability of language. They found the potential need to concentrate on interactive language teaching proficiency instead of relying on domination of structures.The Role of a Learner In CLT, learners participate in all the classroom activities which are entirely based on cooperative learning. Students have to get used to the habit to make themselves comfortable enough for listening carefully to their vigilant peers while working in groups rather than completely relying on teachers for giving notes and spoon feeding them.
Teaching Students With Language and Communication Disabilities CLT is an effective way to analyze students with language difficulties affiliated with some disabilities. Teachers are recommended to develop evidence based practices to help students acquire language skills which will improve their learning level. Response to Intervention (RtI) model has been used as a method for class based interaction that will help the students become better teachers. Various program’s including Enhanced Pearson eText are used which provide a rich and interactive environment.
Communicative Language Teaching Activities The variety of exercise activities and types compatible with interactive approach which is unlimited, given that exercises makes the learner capable to achieve communicative target of engaging learners in communicating, demand use of communicative processes such as negotiated meaning, interaction, information sharing and curriculum. The activities in classrooms are designed to emphasize on completing certain tasks mediated through involve compact of information sharing and language.
Conclusion Quite often, when a new approach is introduced it dismisses the existing or previous one but this isn’t the intention always. Its main objective is to earn enthusiasm for the practitioners implementing and exploring fresh opportunities and activities. Communicative language teaching has summoned a great range of features and characteristics through some association or misunderstanding but it’s not that incompatible or hard to understand with other practices. Practically speaking, assisting mixed classes, form fluency, lead to a focus, support learning or aiding motivation has a complete package to put forward for the professors or teachers.
