Summary … CLT is an approach that favors a focus on MEANING before FORM. If possible, teach grammar structures INDUCTIVELY. (present examples then guide students to discover the rule) The OTPC approach helps you be organized as you think about CLT. Accuracy is a focus in the PRACTICE phase. Accuracy should not be a focus during the COMMUNICATE phase. The classroom should be used for activities that cannot be done elsewhere
