You may want to label each source with the author’s name, part of the title, or a number. Then, when you start reading through the sources, making notes and taking quotations, you can easily cross reference the author, title or number between the source and your notes. In this way you will know exactly where you got the information. This method will help to keep your own thoughts and notes, and the author’s ideas and direct quotations, separate and organized.
